Technomedia nets Legoland waterpark contract
Florida, US-based audio-visual integration firm Technomedia Solutions has been appointed by Merlin Entertainments to work on the new Legoland-branded waterpark in Winter Haven.
The firm has been awarded the audio-visual systems design-build contract for the waterpark development, which will be located adjacent to Legoland Florida - opened last October.
Due to open ahead of this summer, the waterpark will comprise a wave pool; a Build-A-Raft lazy river; tube slides; body slides; and the Duplo Safari interactive water play structure.
Technomedia Solutions also worked on the audio-visual media content and systems design-built for the Legoland Florida park, which is the brand's largest at 150 acres (61 hectares).
"We knew from the start that Merlin wanted to create a very special park and I'm proud to say that we met the challenge and delivered to the complete satisfaction of the client," said Technomedia senior project manager Tony Miceli.
"We are extremely pleased that they recognized our contributions by awarding us the water park project which we intend to make equally exciting."
Merlin Entertainment has also appointed PCL to work on the development of the Legoland waterpark.
