Laboratory for Visionary Architecture (LAVA) has collaborated with agricultural collective Cityplot to design a lifelong learning centre in Germany that uses social, spatial and leisure elements to optimise the learning process. The Laboratory for Visionary Architecture (LAVA) has completed work on a sustainable and inclusive sports-focused youth hostel in Bayreuth, Germany, conceived as a new model of “international, innovative and integrative” design. BIG's 'sensitive, transparent' WWII bunker museum complex nears completion in Blåvand

A museum complex designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) partly on the site of a former German WWII bunker is nearing completion in Blåvand, western Denmark. The Museum Center Blåvand – which CLAD understands could open as early as June – integrates four independent institutions that are embedded in the dunes around the Tirpitz bunker, which was constructed by Nazi Germany during the war and survived the Allies’ bombing campaigns.
Alfa Laval regeneration plans approved

Assael Architecture's plans for the regeneration of a former 1.85-hectare (4.6-acre) industrial site in Brentford, west London, have been given the green light by local councillors. Hounslow Council has approved proposals for a £100m redevelopment of the Alfa Laval site, which has been derelict for more than two decades and will see the existing Alfa tower retained.
