Perfect Circle consortium begins work on 'reality lab' for UK's National Space Centre

The UK's National Space Centre (NSC) in Leicester is building a new laboratory for the creation of virtual, augmented and mixed reality media, which it says will extend its capacity to deliver community engagement and attract new audiences. Perfect Circle – a consortium comprising Pick Everard, Gleeds and AECOM – is responsible for design, surveying and project management, while Woodhead has the construction contract. Carlo Ratti has created a climate-controlled garden pavilion with green spaces curated by Patrick Blanc and Flavio Pollano for the 57th annual Salone del Mobile in Milan. David Chipperfield Architects to sue over Milan museum 'defects'

David Chipperfield is seeking legal action over “defects” in the construction of his Museo delle Culture (Mudec) in Milan. The museum had its soft opening on 27 October. Rogers Stirk Harbour & Partners founder Richard Rogers has launched a UK parliamentary inquiry into how design in planning can affect behaviour change. Rogers kicked off the eight-month-long Design Commission inquiry in the Houses of Parliament in London this week. 'Mirror effect' offers Shard Shangri-La guests an unexpected vista

Guests at the newly-opened Shangri-La Hotel in London’s The Shard are being warned to close the blinds at night as the glass structure’s panels make it sometimes possible to see into other rooms.
