German aviation company Lufthansa-Technik has designed a new VIP aircraft interior concept with a wellness and relaxation theme and on-board spa. The Airbus A350 VVIP interior concept, called Welcome Home, is a cabin that places “the human being in the centre of the story” and “emphasises a comprehensive approach towards health and wellbeing on-board,” the company said. The Imperial War Museum (IWM) in Duxford, UK, is about to relaunch its American Air Museum following a five-year redevelopment project, switching the focus of exhibits from the aircraft on display to a collection of extraordinary people linked with those machines. Reopening to the public on 19 March, IWM’s newly-transformed American Air Museum has undergone a £3m (US$4.2m, €3.8m) redevelopment, with financial support provided by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF)

Surrey's Brooklands Museum is planning to reconfigure the museum's hangar as The Brooklands Aircraft Factory after securing a first-round pass for a £4.85m grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). The Brooklands Aircraft Factory & Race Track Revival Project aims to relocate, restore and reinterpret the Weybridge museum's grade II-listed Wellington Hangar.
