Jimmy Fallon ride to feature TV star's teenage girl alter ego, a trip to the moon and some very tight pants
An upcoming ride based on US chat show host Jimmy Fallon will feature a high-speed race through the streets of New York and all the way to the moon and back, as well as cameos from Fallon’s alter egos Sara and Jimmy Tight Pants.
The TV star, who presents the popular Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, came up with the idea for his own attraction and pitched it to Universal. The ride, Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon, will take riders on a simulated journey through New York, based on skits and segments from the show and the studio, 6B, where it’s filmed.
New details from Universal Orlando state the ride will be a 72-seat flying theatre, the show announcer Steve Higgins will be involved as well as Grammy award-winning band, The Roots, who wrote the original attraction score. Park guests will also get to interact with The Tonight Show's beloved mascot, Hashtag the Panda.
In a new behind-the-scenes-video, Fallon is seen dressed as Jimmy Tight Pants, a barbershop quarter singer and Sara, who has a basket of puppies.
“You can’t have a ride without puppies and a 40-year-old an dressed as a teenage girl,” Fallon said. “You need both of things, or else it’s not an attraction.”
The ride is set to open next year.
