active-net 2015 kicks off in Loughborough

by Jak Phillips | 29 Apr 2015

Key influencers from across the health and fitness industry will gather in Loughborough today (29 April) to do business, debate and network at active-net 2015.

active-net, now in its second year, runs from 29-30 April at imago Burleigh Court and Holywell Park, Loughborough. As well as one-to-one buyer and supplier meetings, the event will feature a strong educational element and networking programme. It is aimed at all operators and suppliers with a focus on the public sector, whether it be Trusts, Local Authorities or Universities/Colleges.

This year’s educational workshops will focus on the latest research from organisations including Les Mills International, The Leisure Database Company and Leisure-net Solutions. Topics under discussion will include leadership and professional development in the sector, as well as how to improve insight and intelligence in the sector.

“The quality of the speakers in our workshops this year is exceptional,” said Mike Hill, active-net organiser and managing director of Leisure-net Solutions.

“For our keynote session we are introducing something totally new to the sector, which will hopefully make people think differently about how they do business and manage their work/life balance. We will be announcing further details of this shortly.”

Leisure Opportunities will be on hand throughout active-net 2015, live reporting on the latest developments throughout the event and posting them straight to the Leisure Opportunities and Health Club Management websites. Head of news Jak Phillips will also be live-tweeting from the event, follow him on Twitter by clicking here.
