Two Anne Semonin spas set for the Greek peninsula of Halkidiki in 2015
Sani Resorts and global asset management firm Oaktree Capital Management have formed a luxury resort management company called Ikos Resorts, which is set to run two Greek properties opening next year on the peninsula of Halkidiki, each with an Anne Semonin spa.
The Ikos Oceania, formerly known as Oceania Club, is a 298-bedroom resort undergoing refurbishment and is due to open in March 2015. The new-build, Ikos Olivia, is is expected to open on 1 May 2015. Greek architecture firm Nimand is involved in both projects.
The contents of each resort’s spa and its treatment menus will be much the same, according to a spokesperson for Ikos Resorts.
The 529sq m (5,694sq ft) spa at Ikos Olivia will feature eight treatment rooms: four single suites, each with a shower; one couples’ suite with a shower and private steambath, one Thai/shiatsu room, one hairdressing room and one nail treatment room. The Parisian bodycare range by Anne Semonin will be used in body treatments, facials, massages, nail treatments, waxing and hairdressing appointments.
The wet zone facilities will include a sauna, steambath, indoor pool and a whirlpool. There will also be a fitness studio with an outdoor deck for aerobics and Pilates.
The spa will be run in-house.
“Our aim is for the new spas at Ikos Resorts to become a luxurious getaway for body and mind,” Maria Machera, Ikos Resorts’ UK marketing manager told Spa Opportunities. “Ikos Resort Spas will provide a wide selection of treatments in serene surroundings. All treatments are designed by Anne Semonin, and will be given by our qualified and experienced therapists. Guests can choose from a wide selection of express treatments (some of them at no extra cost) to a big range of exclusive treatments, tailor-made to each person’s individual needs.”

The Ikos Resort philosophy is to create the perfect luxury getaway by keeping the convenience and affordability of all-inclusive resort deals while adding luxury from start to finish – including the addition of Michelin star chefs for ‘dine-out experiences’ and the possibility of spa treatments at beach side cabanas.
