Technogym reveals new format for Let's Move For A Better World

Technogym's Let’s Move For a Better World campaign is back this year, with a new format developed for gyms and health clubs operating against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The worldwide campaign, designed to promote wellness and fight sedentary lifestyles, will take place from 9 to 15 November and will feature both online and offline fitness events, challenges and activities.

During Let’s Move Week 2020, clubs and studios can take part in the event by creating their own on-site events – or by putting on live and on demand workouts, thanks to the new streaming opportunities offered by Technogym's mywellness 5.0 platform.

They can also promote the event with social media activities and challenges and take advantage of Technogym workouts available on mywellness and Technogym social networks.

Those joining the campaign will be offered the option of downloading the Let's Move Week marketing kit, with a host of promotional content and artworks – from images and videos to posters and more.

The aim of the campaign is to support the fitness industry to regain momentum in the midst of the pandemic, by engaging existing members and activating new ones – as well as promoting the positive effects of exercise to physical and mental health.

Data from the 2019 edition of Let's Move For A Better World shows that facilities taking part benefitted from the campaign.

"Attendance at participating gyms increased, on average, by 26 per cent, while new memberships grew by 15 per cent," said Technogym founder and president.

"Nearly nine in 10 (86 per cent) of the gym staff involved in the campaign noted an improvement in team spirit during training.

"Alongside its important social message, the campaign also represents a very effective tool for fitness centres to increase activity. Thanks to the online communication plans, both on the web and social media, the campaign has proven to attract new members through participants sharing their training experiences online.

"The “Let's Move for a Better World” campaign perfectly sums up the Technogym mission of spreading Wellness on a global scale.

"We believe that educating the younger generations is essential to reach this goal and to create a more sustainable society that has well-being as one of its founding values."

Nerio Alessandri, Technogym Founder and CEO added: ”For over 30 years, Technogym has been committed to promoting the Wellness as a social opportunity, to create a more sustainable society based on people’s health, for all stakeholders: citizens, businesses and governments.

“Fitness and Wellness Clubs play a fundamental role in spreading the culture of health and prevention within their local communities and Let’s Move for a Better World represents a tangible example of Technogym’s commitment in supporting the industry in such a crucial moment.”
