Raison d'Etre launches first spa
Spa development and management consultancy Raison d'Etre has revealed its first branded spa in The Grand Hotel Stockholm in Sweden in the Burmanska Palace wing of the hotel.
Raison d'Etre Spa at The Grand Hotel is the flagship spa under the Raison d'Etre name and is a joint venture between its development company, Raison d'Etre Spas, and the hotel.
Spread over two floors, the spa merges a Nordic theme with contemporary design.
Swedish architectural company Per Öberg Arkitekt AB were responsible for both the architecture and interior design.
The 15,069sq ft (1,400sq m) facility has eight treatment rooms and a fitness centre. Organic and natural products will be used for the treatments, with many being custom-made for the spa, using indigenous ingredients, plants and herbs sourced from local forests such as birch, blueberry, buckthorn, and lingonberry.
Also unique to the luxury spa are its three main treatments, called Our Own Experiences - Be Rested, Be Balanced and Be Renewed. Developed over a three-year period and globally exclusive to the spa, each lasts for two hours. Details: raisondetrespas.com
