One&Only resort planned for Seef, Bahrain
Kerzner International Holdings has entered into a partnership with Bahrain-based Sevens Holding to develop and operate a new One&Only resort in Seef, Bahrain.
The 150-key resort will feature a One&Only Spa, the details of which will be revealed as the project progresses. The property is scheduled to debut in 2016.
Set to become a resort for both business and leisure, located on the northwestern coast of Bahrain, the property will feature a range of dining and retail options in addition to a private beachfront.
“I am thrilled we are able to partner with Sevens Holding to develop this world-class destination,” said Alan Leibman, CEO of Kerzner International. “More and more visitors are discovering Bahrain for both leisure and business and I am looking forward to introducing the resort to our loyal One&Only guests and new guests alike. The beachfront is remarkable and I am very confident that the resort will define ultra-luxury in Bahrain.”
Each of the eight existing One&Only resorts features a distinctive style borne of its local culture. These destinations include properties in One&Only Reethi Rah in the Maldives; One&Only Le Saint Géran in Mauritius, One&Only Royal Mirage and One&Only The Palm in Dubai; One&Only Ocean Club in the Bahamas, One&Only Palmilla in Los Cabos of Mexico; One&Only Cape Town in South Africa; and One&Only Hayman Island on The Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
Kerzner’s One&Only brand has also announced plans to develop a resort in Sanya, China, as well as One&Only Portonovi in Montengro – the first European property for the collection.
