New Zumba Combo Qualification launched for instructors
Zumba Fitness has teamed up with the Exercise Movement and Dance (EMD) Academy and Lifetime Training, to launch the all-new Zumba Combo Qualification.
The new course offers members of the Zumba Instructor Network who have already completed their Zumba Basic 1 Instructor Training Course the opportunity to take their career to the next level.
The Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) accredited qualification is a first for the industry and combines two existing certificates: the teaching certificate in EMD and the instructor certificate in Exercise to Music.
The course takes four days to complete and will launch in London at the end of June, with nine courses scheduled across the UK throughout July and further dates secured nationwide from August to October.
Dave Sibley, managing director of Europe for Zumba, says their “exercise in disguise” method is being practised in more than 200,000 locations worldwide.
“Zumba has shaken up the fitness industry and given thousands of people the opportunity to make a career out of doing something they love,” he said.
“We know our instructors are passionate about continuing their educational journey to improve their skills and knowledge.”
Those who complete the Combo Qualification will also have access to EMD member benefits, including free REPs membership and insurance, discounted PPL music licence fees and ongoing teacher support.
