Mandarin Oriental London collaborates with Echelon Health on £14,000 personal health assessment
– Amanda Hyndman
Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park in London is collaborating with Echelon Health to offer guests a comprehensive personal health assessment using state-of-the-art medical screening technology.
Founded by chair and medical director Dr Paul Jenkins in 2006, Echelon Health combines 30 years of clinical practice with medical imaging technology to provide preventive health assessments that detect life-changing and life-threatening diseases before they manifest.
Claimed to be ‘the best in the world at preventing premature death’, Echelon Health medical assessments are billed to detect up to 92 per cent of causes in men and 95 per cent for women.
New for this summer, Echelon Health's Optimum package includes the company’s comprehensive Platinum health assessment and a two-night stay at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park hotel the night before and night of the assessment day.
Clients within a 100-mile radius of London will be collected from their homes and chauffeured to the hotel. The following day, they’ll be taken to Echelon Health on Harley Street for a day of tests, where they’ll be under the care of their personal client liaison manager.
The package costs £14,000 (€16,400, US$19,400) per person and includes:
- Blood tests
- Electrocardiogram (ECG) of the heart
- CT scan of the heart, aorta, chest, abdomen, pelvis, upright skeleton and guests’ bone density
- CT virtual colonoscopy
- MRI of the brain
- MRI angiograms of both the cerebral and carotid artery
- Thyroid ultrasound
- Ultrasound of the testes/ovaries
- Mammogram
- MRI prostate
- Full body mole screening.
Practising to the highest and most thorough clinical standards, all images from scans are analysed by up to seven hand-selected radiologists, who’re specialists in their field.
When their day at Echelon Health is over, clients will be taken back to the hotel where they can relax in their room and spend a £200 (€235, US$277) voucher however they wish.
Options include in-room dining or enjoying a spa treatment from the hotel’s varied menu of relaxing treatments.
In the morning, clients will be chauffeured back to their home and within two weeks, Jenkins will follow up personally with a detailed health analysis and healthcare suggestions for the future.
If the client requires treatment, Jenkins will refer the client to either his trusted network of specialists, or their own specialist practitioners.
GM of the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, Amanda Hyndman says: “We’re delighted to partner with health specialists that complement the service excellence we strive to deliver and we look forward to welcoming Echelon Health clients to Mandarin Oriental.”
