Lynne McNees announces cancellation of ISPA Talent Symposium – key messages will be delivered at annual conference instead
– Lynne McNees
ISPA has called off the ISPA Talent Symposium and Resource Partner Summit, due to be held in California in April.
President, Lynne McNees, said the decision was made as a result of the ‘increasing number of travel restrictions implemented by member organisations’ and the number of cases of COVID-19 cases in California, which is currently under a declared State of Emergency.
The event will not be rescheduled and attendees and sponsors will be given refunds.
“While we’re tremendously disappointed to cancel the Talent Symposium and Resource Partner Summit, the health and safety of our attendees remains our highest priority,” said McNees.
“Helping our members recruit, retain and engage talent remains a top priority,” she said. “We’re developing a plan to deliver the Talent Symposium’s key messages and resources tied to workforce challenges at the 2020 ISPA Conference & Expo in October.”
“As passionate supporters of the hospitality and travel industries, this was a very difficult decision to make,” said McNees, “but we’ll continue to identify innovative ways to help our members create successful talent strategies leading up to the ISPA Conference & Expo.”
