Life Time to launch residential wellness communities in three US cities in 2020
– Bahram Akradi
Health and racquets club operator Life Time is entering the healthy living market with the launch of Life Time Living – a premium, leased residential concept.
Designed to inspire a holistically healthy lifestyle, the US operator is preparing to open the first Life Time Living sites in Miami, Dallas and Las Vegas in early 2020.
The locations will integrate wellness and connected-living technology with functional space design and premium services.
Each property will include a Life Time Athletic Resort & Spa, LifeCafe and in most locations, Life Time Work, collectively providing a holistically healthy environment for residents to live, work and play.
The Las Vegas property, located in the Green Valley district, will feature 148 residences and a 200,000sq ft Life Time Athletic club.
The Miami site – at Coral Gables – will form part of a larger project with Miami-based developer NP International and will feature 358 residences and a 90,000sq ft Life Time Athletic club.
The third site, Life Time Dallas Midtown, will be developed in partnership with Beck Ventures and will include 390 residences and a 190,000sq ft Life Time Athletic club.
As well as the on-site clubs, residents will have access to all 143 Life Time destinations across the US and Canada.
According to Bahram Akradi, founder and CEO of Life Time, the residences will be built in neighbourhoods that boast convenient access to restaurants, shopping, nightlife and transportation.
"Life Time Living presents a complete reimagination of where and how we live," Akradi said.
"Living an active, healthy and happy lifestyle is dependent upon many factors. Among them is the critical element of where we choose to live.
"By integrating where we live, work and play in these Life Time Village developments, we're creating far more time efficiency for members in their day-to-day lives while also having a positive impact on our planet. The design truly is a natural extension of our mission to inspire people to live completely healthy, happy lives."
Life Time currently operates health, fitness and racquets clubs in 143 destinations across 39 major markets in the US and Canada.
