Les Mills Live event kicks off global tour

by Jak Phillips | 21 Mar 2016

Fitness giant Les Mills kicked off its 2016 global tour by packing 3,000 workout enthusiasts into London’s ExCeL for a day of high-octane activity.

The Les Mills Live tour, which is a partnership between Les Mills and Reebok, is designed to bring together Les Mills instructors and workout fans for an immersive group exercise experience. Next stop on the global tour is Melbourne in Australia, with a total of nine dates scheduled worldwide for 2016.

The recent London event registered more than 20,000 attendances in the 35 classes staged on the day, also reaching 263,929 people on Facebook, according to Les Mills. Sponsorsed by Stages Cycle, Cancer Research and Spartan, the event saw more than 1,000 people take part in a single BodyPump session.

“Our aim is to showcase the amazing energy of our instructors and bring them an experience that matches their passion,” said Les Mills UK CEO Martin Franklin.

“It is great to see how an event like this can reach beyond the four walls of the room itself and our role is to show clubs and facilities that with some planning, a great quarterly event can really increase your participation and engagement levels in clubs.”
