Canyon Ranch veteran Jacqueline Berry named spa director at Lake Austin Spa Resort
Lake Austin Spa Resort in Austin, Texas has named Jacqueline Berry as its new spa director.
Berry brings more than 20 years of experience to the resort, where she will oversee all aspects of the daily operation of the 25,000sq ft (2,323sq m) LakeHouse Spa, which includes 30 indoor and outdoor treatment areas and more than 100 healing services on the menu.
Most recently, Berry held the position of executive director of spa and sports for Canyon Ranch, Tucson. Prior to that, she held executive positions onboard the Queen Mary 2 and Regent Seven Seas Voyager under the Canyon Ranch brand – with a combined nine years of experience at the company.
Berry began her spa career as a massage therapist with Steiner Transocean as the youngest crew member onboard the Sun Princess during its inaugural season. She’s spent the last 20 years furthering her career by leading teams in resorts, onboard cruise ships, and in boutique hotels and day spas.
“Jacqueline’s stellar work experience along with her passion for the spa industry and caring for others make her an ideal fit for Lake Austin Spa Resort,” said Janis Clapoff, managing director at Lake Austin Spa Resort. “We are thrilled to welcome her to Austin and look forward to an exciting future together.”
