ISPA shares more plans for virtual summit and calls on industry to contribute to annual survey
– Lynne McNees
The International Spa Association (ISPA) has released more details about its upcoming virtual Stronger Together Summit on 10-14 May 2021.
The event is being hosted in place of ISPA's cancelled in-person 2021 Expo and Conference and will be used to continue to support spas and deliver relevant education to help them elevate their businesses during these challenging times.
ISPA president Lynne McNees said: “Our community is impressively resilient and gains strength when resources, ideas and lessons learned are shared openly.
"This virtual experience will help facilitate that effort when meeting in large in-person settings is not possible for most.”
The summit’s speaker line-up so far includes marketing guru Seth Godin, talent expert Seth Mattison and international speaker and author Dr Bryan Williams.
An extensive series of Knowledge Builder Sessions will also provide professional development content dedicated to important industry topics, while All About You Sessions will provide engaging opportunities for personal growth.
In addition to the educational content, the event will include live Town Halls to facilitate the sharing of ideas and peer insights.
An on-demand Product Learning Lab will also feature the industry’s top brands and deliver information about must-have products, equipment and services to strengthen their spa business.
Event registration will launch on 22 February and be exclusive to ISPA members.
Members will be able to register at a US$99 (€83, £73) early-bird rate until 7 April.
After that date and through the event, a registration rate of US$129 (€108, £95) will apply. The first 750 registrants will receive an Inspiration Box overflowing with spa products.
Registrants will gain on-demand access to the vast majority of sessions offered as well as the Product Learning Lab for 90-days after the summit.
In other recent news, ISPA is inviting the industry to participate in a survey for its 22nd annual US Spa Industry Study.
The ISPA Foundation conducts the survey in collaboration with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), which presents what is known as the “Big Five”: total revenue, spa visits, spa locations, revenue per visit and number of employees for the US spa industry.
The survey will close on 26 February 2021 and takes about 20-25 minutes to complete.
