Jean Kolb to receive ISPA Dedicated Contributor Award
The International SPA Association will present Jean Kolb with the 2016 ISPA Dedicated Contributor Award at the 26th annual ISPA Conference & Expo from September 13 – 15, 2016 at The Venetian in Las Vegas.
The ISPA Dedicated Contributor Award is given to an active ISPA member who has contributed significantly to the growth of the association, and recipients have demonstrated leadership and commitment to ISPA as well as assisted in the promotion of the association, its mission and vision.
“Jean truly embodies dedication, in everything she has done and continues to do for ISPA and the global spa industry,” said ISPA President Lynne McNees.
Kolb joined Kohler Co. in 1978 and retired from the largest plumbing manufacturer in the world in 2015. During her last twenty years at the company, she served as director of wellness, leading the planning, development, and operations of multiple Kohler Waters Spa locations. Her passion for wellness also lead her to found Jean Kolb Well By Choice, a new endeavour that allowed her to engage individuals as a professional speaker. Kolb is also an executive coach providing one-on-one coaching opportunities.
“This is truly an honour, one that comes with great pride and equal humility,” said Kolb. “One cannot contribute without connecting. Connections are at the heart of the spa industry, whether we are serving our guests, supporting our associates or interacting with industry colleagues. I have had the great honour of doing all of this for more than 20 years. Contributions cannot be made alone. I am blessed to be surrounded by the very best-of-the-best professionals who live their passion every day.”
Kolb served three years as chair of ISPA and held a seat on the board of directors for eight years. Additionally she has and continues to serve on various task forces and as a professional development speaker for the ISPA Conference & Expo throughout the years.
