Gympass launches ‘Live Classes’ – allows operators to gain extra revenue
Corporate fitness sales specialist Gympass has launched a new 'Live Classes' service which will enable its operator partners to host and monetise live workouts as part of their online offering.
The solution allows fitness operators to schedule classes for Gympass members, with the operator receiving payment for every person who signs up and takes part.
This will allow operators to gain revenue, both through their own platform and through the Gympass app, for the same live content.
By the end of 2020, Gympass aims to have 10,000 live classes available every month.
Operators to have already signed up include F45, Bannatyne Group and 3D Leisure, as well as London-based boutiques Victus Soul and Rowbots.
"Live online workouts have seen a tremendous rise in popularity of late, so not only are we providing a platform to host these sessions, but we're also monetising them for our partners, which is vital during these times of financial uncertainty," said Eamon Lloyd, head of partnerships for UK and Ireland at Gympass.
"The value this will offer our operator partners is really exciting."
Paul Trendell, Founder and CEO of Victus Soul added: "Having the ability to host classes via Gympass Live classes is invaluable for our business as we continue to seek solutions to enable our members to remain active during lockdown.
"Not only does this platform allow us to take live classes straight into our members’ homes, but we can also monetise these classes, which is vital given the financial challenges all operators are currently facing."
