Chiva-Som completes eco-friendly renovations
Award-winning health and wellness resort Chiva-Som has revamped all Ocean Rooms and Suites in a highly anticipated renovation project.
Implemented under the direction of Designrealization Siam, the spacious new rooms at the iconic resort are situated in the North, Central and South wings.
“We listened carefully to our guest feedback and included this in the design brief so we are delighted that guest response to the improvements has been overwhelmingly positive and enthusiastic,” said Sheila McCann, general manager at Chiva-Som, who ensured that the new room design maintained the spirit of relaxation that makes the destination resort so special for those seeking wellness.
Featuring contemporary design using Thai teak, silk and bamboo, hidden mood and sensor lighting systems have also been installed for a calming effect. An elegant colour palette enhances the wellness experience, while rich fabrics, abstract artworks and natural trimmings add texture.
The improvements also extend to the in-room accessories, including new guest robes, amenities and stationery, as well as the inclusion of a sleep spray and take-home bag.
Since its launch the resort has been dedicated to operating as ethically and sustainably as possible. To ensure sustainable, energy-efficient design features, the new rooms have been finished with LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards in mind for environmental awareness.
Chiva-Som Ocean Rooms and Suites feature seating areas on the balconies and terraces. Each room also features full floor-to-ceiling windows to provide an immersive experience.
