China's largest waterpark opens in Henan

Zhengzhou Yinji Kaifeng Waterpark has opened its doors in Henan, China, with the colossal waterpark boasting an array of WhiteWater products following the largest ever single order for the global waterpark sector made last year.

The CA$29m (¥157m, US$25.7m, €20.2m, £16m) deal between the waterpark and Whitewater has seen the installation of nine separate waterslide complexes featuring nearly 50 waterslides, three custom themed AquaPlay structures, a Shoot the Chute water ride, three wave pools, two types of Wave Rivers and a FlowRider Double. Yinji Kaifeng is also now home to several completely unique Fusion Waterslides including a Fusion AquaLoop + Flatline Loop and the first AquaSphere + Constrictor.

The waterpark is the largest in all of China and boasts both an outdoor and indoor section, which at peak capacity can hold 32,000 and 15,000 people respectively.

“We are extremely proud to work with Yinji Dynasty to assist them in bringing a new level of waterpark sophistication to the industry,” said Geoff Chutter, president and CEO of WhiteWater. “This park is going to raise the bar for Chinese tourism destinations all around the country.”
