CIDESCO World Congress & Exhibition to take place in Greece this October
The 62nd annual CIDESCO World Congress and Exhibition will be held at the
Royal Olympic Hotel in Athens from 22-26 October this year, offering industry professionals the chance to learn new skills, network and discuss issues facing the wellness sector.
Delegates will attend lectures given by international speakers in addition to the CIDESCO Beauty Exhibition, where local and international beauty suppliers showcase their products in an educational forum.
Workshops for members include the Examiners’ Workshop, which will be hosted by education board member Narelle Blinman from Australia. New techniques and skills within the industry and how they affect CIDESCO’s training procedures will be discussed.
The CIDESCO Accredited Schools’ Meeting will also be hosted by Blinman. This forum is open to all CIDESCO schools, international examiners and national CIDESCO sections.
The General Assembly will take place on 24 October and only national CIDESCO section representatives participate. This meeting involves the deliberation of the academy’s future development within the industry and is chaired by international president Anna-Cari Gund plus her board colleagues.
On the last day of the congress and exhibition, professionals and students will compete in the annual CIDESCO Make-up and Body Art Competition. The theme this year for the creative task is “Historical Ancients”.
“We are looking forward to seeing a large number of our members at the Congress as we take CIDESCO further forward for the benefit of our members and the industry,” Gund said.
