AECOM announces Rockwell Group partnership
AECOM has announced a partnership with the New York, US-based design firm Rockwell Group, which will look to serve the expanding leisure and hospitality market in Asia.
The collaboration aims to provide a "strategic, creative and complete solution" for industry clients across the region, and will see the companies offer consultancy and design services.
AECOM and Rockwell Group's first joint project in Asia is the development of a series of villas for the Yanxi Lake International Conference Complex in Beijing, China.
Each of the 4,000sq m (43,056sq ft) villas are to include design elements reflecting Chinese culture and civilisation and will form part of a new hotel and conference complex.
AECOM executive vice president for planning, design and development in Asia, ChiChung Wong, said: "Partnering with the renowned Rockwell Group extends our design strength and complements our integrated capabilities.
"Rockwell Group's strength and expertise in interior design and architecture will allow us to offer a suite of solutions and better serve the burgeoning leisure and hospitality market in the region."
Rockwell Group founder and chief executive officer David Rockwell added: "We're very excited about the opportunity to work with such respected architects and engineers and are thrilled to establish a greater presence in the region."
