Petr Pelčák's Hard Rock Prague to feature light wall, spa and rooftop bar
– Todd Hricko, Hard Rock’s senior VP and head of global hotel business development
Petr Pelčák has designed a new Hard Rock Hotel in Prague that will feature a three-storey feature wall with a 5,900sq ft (550sq m) soundwave of moving light, as well as a spa and a rooftop bar.
The building itself is owned by EP Real Estate and has been in development since 2015.
It will house 523 rooms, all with in-room music-themed yoga programmes and complimentary use of Fender guitars, amps and headphones for guests.
There will be a fitness centre, a swimming pool and a full-service spa, which will put a musical twist on traditional spa treatments.
A 59,000sq ft (5,500sq m), 1,800-capacity ballroom will provide a space for live entertainment and meetings, while an external lawn will be used for exhibitions, parties and other events.
A rooftop bar will provide views of Letna Park and Prague Castle and there will be multiple dining options, including an "elegant specialty restaurant" with south-facing terraces overlooking the Vltava River valley.
Elsewhere, there will be a shop and a business centre.
The hotel is due to open in 2023.
