British architecture practice FaulknerBrowns have been selected to design a £50m (US$64m, €54.3m) indoor sports centre for the University of Portsmouth. Property fund manager Highcross has submitted plans for a mixed-use development on its 100-acre Lakeside North Harbour site in Portsmouth. Plans to build a new £15m passenger terminal at Portsmouth Continental Ferry Port have been approved by the city council. The port has been working on the project with consultants Halcrow, which appointed D5 architects to come up with the outline design for the new building, which will be located to the east of the existing terminal.
