Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal has officially opened Northumberlandia - one of the world's largest human landforms which has been created near Cramlington.
The Charles Jencks-designed scheme features a reclining female figure standing taller than an eight-storey building and has been built on Viscount Ridley's Blagdon Estate.
Northumberlandia and its adjacent water bodies are the result of around £3m of investment by the Blagdon Estate in conjunction with developer The Banks Group.
Following its official launch, the site will initially open to the public between 12-4pm on 5 and 8 September. It will take visitors 20 minutes to walk the 0.75-mile (1.2km) outer path.
