Preferred Corby cinema design revealed
Local residents in Corby, Northamptonshire, have selected their preferred design for a new six-screen cinema to be developed in the town.
Corby Borough Council (CBC) confirmed that the third of four NBDA Architects-designed proposals put forward by Mulberry Developments polled highest in a public vote. Nearly 700 people took part in the consultation, with Option C - a curved, oval shape design - identified as the preferred choice.
CBC willl now pass the result of the vote to Mulberry Developments, which will work on the design ahead of a formal consultation event on 14-15 January at Corby Cube. Council leader Pat Fawcett said: "The winning design is the one that the residents felt was the most modern and architecturally exciting, so this just goes to show the direction in which Corby and its residents are heading."
