American artist James Turrell has recently unveiled Skyspace: Lech – the latest iteration of his Skyspace series, which was first developed in the 1970s. The City of New Orleans is currently evaluating private sector proposals for the redevelopment of the World Trade Center building on the banks of the Mississippi. Work begins on CitySpace sports venue

Construction work has begun on a £12m dual-use sports and social centre – the flagship project of the University of Sunderland's £75m redevelopment of its former city centre Chester Road Campus. Called CitySpace, the centre is designed by architects FaulknerBrowns, and will be a pre-paralympic training site for the 2012 London Games.
