Wellness and leisure will be focus of South Africa's Blue Rock eco-village

Architecture and property development practice Swisatec have announced new additions to their planned 40-hectare leisure village in Cape Town. A seven-storey mixed-use lifestyle centre and a five-star hotel are among the facilities the studio has revealed will feature prominently at Blue Rock Village – billed as Africa’s “most environmentally friendly estate”. Funding boost for Welsh eco-village scheme

Plans for the construction of a new centre for research, education and the promotion of low-impact development at the Lammas eco-village in Pembrokeshire have been handed a £350,000 boost. The new community hub, which will act as the centrepiece of a scheme to build nine eco-smallholdings, is one of 10 projects across the UK to secure funding through the government's Low Carbon Communities Challenge. Work is scheduled to get underway
