'A war against its own weight': Architects create gravity-defying stairway as observation tower in Belgian forest

Architecture practice Close to the Bone have blurred the boundary between a stairway and an observation tower by building a gravity-defying monument in a Belgian forest. The studio were commissioned to build an observation point in the municipality of Tielt-Winge, after a popular wooden lookout tower was destroyed by arsonists. German designers Toni Egger and Felix Tarantik are creating mobile saunas inside the aluminium shells of Swiss ski lift gondolas. The four-person Saunagondel can withstand extreme weather conditions and, with a footprint of two by two metres, is small and lightweight enough to transport from place to place. Spanish designers create a 'weightless' playground inside a kaleidoscope

A Spanish design studio has created a children’s playground with a mind-bending twist: it's set inside a kaleidoscope.
