Architecture competition organiser Bee Breeders have revealed the winners of its latest challenge: a task to design a meditation and wellness camp in one of Latvia’s most remote regions. Architecture studio YOD have renovated and modernised a Soviet-era building in a Ukrainian pine forest to create a nature-inspired spa and leisure complex. Ukraine plans new 'tourist city' development

Ukrainian vice prime minister and minister of infrastructure Borys Kolesnikov has unveiled plans to develop a new "tourist city" near Yevpatoria over the next three-and-a-half years. Addressing delegates at the recent Inside Ukraine conference, Kolesnikov said the project is part of a national programme to transform the Crimean peninsula into a visitor destination. Construction work has now commenced on one of the world's largest retractable aluminium-domed indoor waterparks in Donetsk, Ukraine, which is due to open early next year. UEFA president Michel Platini has told the Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) that Kiev could lose the right to host the Euro 2012 final if infrastructure issues are not addressed by 30 November. Ukraine is due to co-host the tournament with Poland, and the warning follows an announcement by European football's governing body that the Polish cities of Gdansk, Poznan, Warsaw and Wroclaw, have all been confirmed as host cities.
