Tampa development becomes world's first WELL-certified neighbourhood

Water Street Tampa – a 56-acre community currently taking shape in Tampa, Florida – has become the first neighbourhood in the world to receive the WELL Design & Operations designation under the WELL Community Standard. Ian Schrager to open Edition hotel in Tampa

Boutique hotelier Ian Schrager is bringing his Edition brand to Tampa, with a 173-room property set to open in then Florida city in 2021. Real estate firm Strategic Property Partners (SPP) has struck a deal with Schrager and Marriott International, which owns the brand, to launch the Tampa Edition within a 26-story tower in the heart of the Water Street Tampa neighbourhood. Raymond James stadium in Tampa, Florida, US is set to undergo a US$100m (€91m, £66m) upgrading of its facilities.
