Hotel and apartments to be integrated into proposed Southend United stadium

A hotel, residential apartments and a training academy have been incorporated into Southend United FC’s proposal to build a 22,000-capacity stadium development. Following the 2005 fire that destroyed the Old Pier Head in Southend, Saville Jones were appointed in 2007 to lead a design team in the restoration of the pier structure.
