Colour standards company Pantone has announced a “dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade” as the Colour of the Year for 2018. Pantone chooses a different emerging colour to celebrate each year, with ‘colour experts’ at the Pantone Color Institute searching extensively for new colour influences, taking inspiration from the entertainment industry, films in production, travelling art collections, fashion lines, forthcoming buildings and interiors and socio-economic conditions. Shreyas Yoga Retreat in India has opened a new 20,000sq ft (1,858sq m) partially submerged spa, designed by Akshay and Aditi Heranjal from Purple Ink Studio. Anaha, the Spa at Shreyas includes a main building that descend below the earth, with the light and air movement planned from a series of sunken courts. Facilities include four dedicated ayurveda therapy rooms, two rooms for mud therapy, and a separate naturotherapy section.
