Oregon Coast Aquarium to build marine rehabilitation centre in $18m renovation

The Oregon Coast Aquarium is raising a targeted $18.2m (€16.5m, £14.4m) to remodel its facilities, improve its learning experience and build a marine rehabilitation centre, with design work by Dangermond Keane Architecture and Walker Macy. Sports giant Nike has launched a 3.2m sq ft (297,000sq m) expansion of its world headquarters in Oregon to add sporting facilities, mixed-use space and new offices. The architecture of the expansion is inspired by human movement, speed, plus the strength and energy of competition. Snøhetta to design public walkway at Oregon's Willamette Falls

A Snøhetta-led team has been chosen to create a walkway giving public access to the second largest waterfall in the US. Toronto-based architects Dialog and Portland-based landscape studio Mayer/Reed complete the design team for the ‘Riverwalk’ portion of a revitalisation project at Willamette Falls, in Oregon City, Oregon. Riverwalk connects the city centre to the waterfall, which will be accessible to the public for the first time in 100 years.
25-year master plan for Oregon Zoo

The Oregon-based SRG Partnership is to lead a team tasked with developing a 25-year master plan for Oregon Zoo.
