Wellness and water: Greek resort Olea set to open in June

On the eastern side of the Greek island of Zakynthos, the 93-room design-led Olea All Suite Hotel is set to open in June, with an emphasis on wellness. Architecture practice Block722architects, who have offices in Athens and Stockholm, have created a 4,000sq m (43,000sq ft) artificial lake at the heart of the hotel, surrounded by the scattered suites. Oxford's Ashmolean Museum is to open six new galleries for its Ancient Egypt and Nubia collections tomorrow (26 November), following £5m development project. Designed by Rick Mather Architects, the new facilities have been built by the Oxford-based contractor, Beard, and will present the attraction's collections under six broad themes. Ashmolean Museum in Oxford has revealed that the new Ancient Egypt and Nubia (present day Sudan) galleries are to open on 26 November, following a £5m development project. Work is to start on a £5m redevelopment of the Ashmolean Museum's Egyptian galleries after the plans were approved by Oxford City Council.
