Eden Project North starts to take shape with tentative 2023 opening date set

The first stage in the preparation of a planning application for the proposed Eden Project North in the UK has been completed, with the submission of an Environmental Impact Assessment Scoping Report to Lancaster City Council. London-based architecture firm Grimshaw have unveiled renderings of Eden Project North (EPN), a marine-centred recreational complex and leisure attraction in Morecambe, UK. Morecambe Football Club (MFC) has been granted planning permission by Lancaster City Council for a new development incorporating a 6,800-capacity stadium. As well as a new stadium, the 5.3 hectare (13 acre) site at Westgate will also include an outdoor multi-sports facility.
