The Global Wellness Institute’s (GWI) Wellness Architecture and Design Initiative (WADI) has released an in-depth white paper exploring the principles, strategies and economic, physiological and environmental benefits of incorporating wellness into the built environment. A programme of "authentic reconstruction" of 11 historic sites in India, and the setting up of 100 experiential museums, are among ambitious plans reportedly under development by India's culture ministry. A “stadium-like” new aquatics centre in Budapest has been unveiled ahead of the World Swimming Championships, which will be held at the venue in five months. The Dagály Budapest Aquatics Complex, also known as the Danube Arena, has been completed just two years after the Mexican city of Guadalajara withdrew as host of the championships due to financial problems, and Budapest agreed to step in. More details have emerged of Apple’s highly-anticipated US$5bn Campus 2 compound in California, with the space-age site set to feature a 100,000sq ft gym as part of a prominent workplace wellness offering.
