Two-tower KPF development features nine-storey habitable bridge

A new mixed-use development designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF) will feature two metallic towers linked by a nine-storey habitable bridge. Detroit Zoo has debuted its new US$30m (€26.5m, £21.1m) penguin habitat, with the state-of-the-art enclosure offering a face-to-face encounter with the antarctic birds. NASA pioneers leisure space for astronauts with launch of expandable habitats

US space agency NASA is preparing to explore the feasibility of expandable habitats, or inflatable ‘space houses’, in a new mission that launches this Friday (8 April). A spacecraft supplying the International Space Station (ISS) will take off at 4.43pm ET from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, loaded with research, hardware, supplies and a Bigelow Expandable Activity Module (BEAM), which will be thoroughly tested over the coming years.

Louisville Zoo in Kentucky, US, has announced the official opening of its new polar and grizzly bear habitat as part of the multi-phase Glacier Run project.
