Junya Ishigami’s Serpentine Pavilion highlights Cumbria’s traditional stonemasonry

Japanese architect Junya Ishigami has created a shingle-covered Serpentine Pavilion that draws on the ancient building cultures of Cumbria, UK. New pool planned for Cumbrian town

Designers have been appointed for a new swimming pool project in Millom, Cumbria. Cambridge-based architects Saunders Boston have been awarded the contract for the facility, which will replace the town’s current pool at a local school. The project is the brainchild of the Millom and Haverigg Economic Development Group. Cumbrian town set for makeover

A Cumbrian town is set to undergo a £3m transformation after South Lakeland District Council (SLDC) approved a bid for funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). Plans for Grange-over-Sands, which include improvements to the town's promenade, the ornamental gardens and the Park Road gardens, have been drawn up using council funding and a project planning grant from the HLF.
