Canadian architects Lemay have won an international competition to redesign the corniches of Morocco’s Casablanca coast and create a leisure-filled seaside promenade. Design unveiled for Casablanca peace museum on site of terror attack

An Australian architectural duo have won a competition to design the Casablanca Bombing Rooms – a cultural space promoting peace on the site of a devastating terrorist attack. Rachel Hurst and William Song Yuan’s design features a large black tower, which represents a beacon of learning, acceptance, knowledge and growth towards peace. On 16 May 2003, 33 civilians were killed in a series of suicide bombings in the Moroccan city.
Foster + Partners' Four Seasons Casablanca has spa offering emerald and gold treatments

The new Four Seasons Casablanca is set to open in Q4 2015, including a 700sq m (7,535 sq ft) Le Spa with 10 treatment rooms and an array of luxury treatments. A massive aquarium is at the centre of plans for Casablanca, Morocco, to lure in tourists and locals with a new MAD300m (US$34.8m, €30m, £23m) facility. To feature a variety of aquatic life – including dolphins, sea lions, penguins and sharks – the 15,000sq m (161,500sq ft) aquarium would be built at the Casablanca Marina.
