PortAventura opening new village for seriously ill children

The PortAventura theme park in Spain has announced it will develop PortAventura Dreams, a 9,000sq m (29,527sq ft) village of eight homes offering entertainment and fun for children with serious illnesses and their families. Marriott International has concluded the final phase of expansion and renovations at its recently rebranded South Florida property, JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort and Spa in Aventura, Florida. PortAventura's Ferrari Land sets official opening date

PortAventura has revealed the official opening date for its Ferrari Land attraction, with the theme park addition coming to the Spanish resort on 7 April 2017. The 60,000sq m (646,000sq ft) Ferrari Land will be centred around its vertical accelerator rollercoaster, which will become the tallest in Europe at 112m (367.5ft), exceeding PortAventura’s own Shambhala for the impressive record. PortAventura theme park in Spain is to relaunch its Caribbean-themed aquatic park following a 11.6m euro (£10m, UD$15.6m) extension project, which features the tallest toboggan in Europe. The Costa Caribe Aquatic Park project has seen the addition of 14,000 sq m (150,695 sq ft) of new facilities, giving the park a total surface of 50,000sq m (538,196sq ft).
