Peter Staic's Hotel Arlberg renovation considers wellness down to paint, colours and materials

Peter Staic has completed a year-long, €5m ($5.5m, £4.2m) renovation project at the family-run Hotel Arlberg alpine hotel and spa in Lech, Austria, with healthy paints, calming colours and natural materials. The hotel's newly extended spa now features glass courtyards, library and relaxation rooms, a stainless-steel heated outdoor pool with an integrated whirlpool and sauna and steam rooms. Martin Brudnizki brings village feel to new Six Senses ski resort and residences

Swedish architect Martin Brudnizki has revealed plans for the new Six Senses Kitzbühel alpine resort and residences. The resort, owned and developed by Walther Staininger, is scheduled to open in December 2021 and will include a Six Senses hotel with extensive spa and wellness offerings, apartments and chalet residences. Austrian artist Klaus Littmann has transformed the Wörthersee Stadion in Klagenfurt, Austria, into a forest as part of an art installation looking to change people's perception of nature. Austrian practice Pumar Architekten have won an international competition to create a new aquarium at Vienna’s Tiergarten Schönbrunn – the world’s oldest zoo. BEHF complete work on historic restaurant in Austria

Design firm BEHF Architekten have remodelled the Koller + Koller im Waagplatz restaurant in Salzburg, Austria. The architects' six-month intervention saw the 170 sq m tagesbar (day bar) – which is housed in a building dating to the Middle Ages – gain renovated entrance, dining, and sanitary facilities.
