Bristol Rovers’ £40m (US$62.2m, €56.4m) plan to move into a new stadium across the city has collapsed after supermarket chain Sainsbury’s won its High Court battle over the purchase of its current home. Talks collapse over Bristol stadium scheme

Mediation talks between landowners and applicants regarding a bid to register the proposed site of a new stadium at Bristol's Ashton Vale as a village green have broken down. The village green application is threatening to derail Bristol City Football Club's (BCFC) plans for a 30,000-seat stadium, which have been approved by Bristol City Council. Snow collapses Minneapolis Metrodome roof

The Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission in Minneapolis, US, has confirmed that snowfall caused the inflatable roof on the city's Metrodome to deflate. Birdair, the company which manufactured and installed the roof, has already carried out an inspection of the structure to determine how long repair work will take. American Football team Minnesota Vikings was forced to move its fixture with New York Giants to Ford Field, Detroit following the incident.
