Ignacio Alonso overhauls Gurney’s Montauk Resort's thalassotherapy spa

Gurney's Montauk Resort 's waterfront spa in Long Island, US, is being reimagined by architect Ignacio Alonso of Alonso Designs. The year-round 158-room resort dates back to 1926 and consists of a two-story building on an oceanfront promontory with a large saltwater pool at the upper level and treatment rooms at the lower level. Limassol thalassotherapy resort undergoes €70m renovation

The Le Meridien hotel in Cyprus will reopen in March 2018 under the new name Parklane, after an estimated €70m (US$83m, £62m) renovation as part of Marriott’s Luxury Collection. The resort, in Limassol, is well known for its large thalassotherapy facilities, which span 3,000sq m, and include two outdoor and two indoor seawater pools.
