Langham appoints Myers as regional spa director, North America
William Wesley Myers has been named regional director of spa, North America for Langham Hospitality, overseeing all North American spa operations. A 12-year veteran of the spa and hospitality industry, Myers has been serving as director of spa at Chuan Spa Chicago at The Langham for the last four years.
“As our director of spa here at The Langham, Chicago for the past four years, William has delivered nothing but excellence to our colleagues and guests,” said Robert Schofield, managing director of The Langham, Chicago. “We’re excited to see him attain this new role, where he can continue guiding our amazing staff and enriching the legendary guest experiences we are known for across all of the Langham Hotels and Chuan Spas in North America.”
Myers was recently recognised by American Spa magazine’s 2017 Professional’s Choice Awards as the year’s “most influential spa leader”.
Prior to joining the Langham brand, Myers travelled the world while working on board a variety of luxury cruise liners. He began his spa career in Las Vegas at the Golden Nugget in 2006. He then moved on to positions within The Ritz-Carlton, Spa at Haven in New York and Trump Soho, before being appointed as the opening director of spa at Cornelia Spa at The Surrey Hotel.
“Having helped build the Chuan Spa brand in Chicago, I’m most excited about becoming involved with spa operations at our other hotels to help build even greater awareness for our offerings,” said Myers.
Chuan Spa & Health Club in Chicago features a collection of products and treatments rooted in traditional Chinese medicine. The spa’s menu includes classic spa services, 21 speciality Chuan Signature Services, topped off by four foundational advanced TCM services, with oversight from a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
The other Chuan locations in North America are Chuan Body + Soul at The Langham, Boston; Chuan Body + Soul at The Langham, New York and Chuan Spa at The Langham Huntington, Pasadena.
