Fairmont and Raffles to open hotels at new Manila complex
Hotel operators Fairmont and Raffles are set to open two new properties at a mixed-use tower at Makati in Metro Manila in December.
The complex will feature a 30-floor tower housing the Raffles Makati with 32 suites; Raffles Residences with 237 residences for private ownership; and Fairmount Makati, a hotel with 280 deluxe rooms.
The developers of the complex are KHOALI Manila, a joint venture between Kingdom Hotel Investments (KHI) and Ayala Land.
The first eight floors are dedicated to Fairmount Hotel and its 1,200sq m (12,917sq ft) Willow Stream Spa. The spa will have five treatment rooms and a full service hair and nail salon. Floors nine and 10 will house the Raffles all-suite hotel, while Raffles residences – offering one, two, three, and four-bedroom units – will occupy the upper levels of the complex.
Designed by Singapore-based Bent Severin & Associates the resort will blend "old world charm with the new world".
Fairmont's Makati City features six restaurants and lounges as well as over 1,700 sq m (18,298sq ft) of versatile meeting and function space including a 900sq m ballroom.
All the new restaurants and bars in the complex will be open to guests of both Raffles Makati and Fairmont Makati.
Both hotels will house outdoor swimming pools and fitness centres.
