The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company - a fully-owned subsidiary of Marriott International - has opened its first hotel in Austria and ninth in Europe on Vienna's Schubertring Boulevard.
Verny Capital owns the new 202-bedroom Ritz-Carlton, Vienna, which features a 1,000sq m (10,764sq ft) Guerlain Spa among its facilities - the first Guerlain-branded spa in Austria.
The boutique spa incorporates six treatment rooms - two of which are designed for couples; an 18m indoor swimming pool with underwater music; and a fitness centre.
A separated steam bath and sauna for male and female guests also form part of the Guerlain Spa, which was designed by the skincare brand alongside Peter Silling and Associates.
Elsewhere at the Ritz-Carlton, Vienna is the Dstrikt restaurant offering Austrian cuisine and led by Chef Wini Brugger; Atmosphere rooftop bar; and extensive meeting facilities.
Herve Humler, president and chief operating officer of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, said: "We are delighted to open our 80th hotel in this key European capital and to offer discerning global travellers a truly unique property here in Vienna.
"The hotel will bring The Ritz-Carlton service philosophy to the city and combine it with Viennese hospitality to create memorable experiences for guests whether travelling on leisure or for business."
