Zynk named design partner of UFC Gym - will create new boutique studio concept
Franchised fitness operator UFC Gym has appointed zynk Design to help with its roll out into the UK market.
As design partner, zynk will oversee the creation of UFC Gym clubs and studios, starting with the first two locations set to open later this year in Nottingham and Woking.
The brief will see zynk create an entirely new interior brand identity for Class UFC Gym – the operator's new boutique offering, which will target millennials and focus on HIIT and BOX classes. The new design is being unveiled at the inaugural Class UFC Gym site in Woking.
“UFC Gym has gained global respect for its dynamic fitness concept, so it is a privilege to be part of the UK design development and conceptualisation of the Class UFC Gym brand identity," said Stavros Theodoulou, managing director of zynk Design.
US-based UFC Gym company last year announced an ambitious roll-out programme, which will see 100 clubs open across the UK and Ireland over the next 10 years.
The openings are being delivered by master franchisee TD Lifestyle – a venture set up to manage the portfolio.
The ownership group includes former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping – who made history in 2016 as UFC’s first British champion – and former British karate heavyweight champion Joe Long.
UFC's partnership with TD Lifestyle is the largest development partnership in UFC Gym's history.
The UFC Gym brand is the first major brand extension of UFC, the world’s premier MMA organization, and was developed in partnership with New Evolution Ventures.
