GOCO’s Daios Cove Spa opens on Crete
GOCO Hospitality has opened its latest spa on the Greek island of Crete.
Part of Daios Cove Luxury Resort & Villas, the spa provides holistic health and wellness experiences with an extensive range of heat and water facilities. The menu includes locally inspired and results-focused spa journeys as well as fitness and mind & body spaces. Future plans include developing a section of the resort into a dedicated GOCO wellness retreat.
The Daios Cove Luxury Resort & Villas, home to the new GOCO Spa Daios Cove, sits in a private bay with views of the Aegean Sea.
The 2,500sq m cove includes eight treatment rooms – including two private suites and a dedicated Thai massage room – a modern gym and movement studio, two indoor pools and a thermal spa suite with Finnish sauna, Soft Sauna, Mediterraneo (combined sauna with steam bath) and Nimfea reaction showers.
Specially developed thermal therapeutic circuits allow guests to use the heat and water facilities to energise, detox, maintain their weight and sleep well. The gym has recently installed a Styku body scanner, giving guests the ability to obtain high-precision insights into their current state of health and fitness and receive personalised lifestyle consulting.
A resident Indian yoga master will be delivering regular sessions for guests to explore a variety of yogic styles and techniques.
GOCO Spa Daios Cove will also be hosting a series of visiting practitioners to share specialist expertise, starting in May with longevity expert Paulo Fernandes, creator of the Total Health Transformation system. From 14-28 May, he will be offering consultations in nutritional microscopy (including live and dry blood analysis), developing personalised nutritional and exercise plans (along with an alkaline diet cooking course), and offering Vodder-method manual lymphatic massage combined with pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy.
The spa’s treatment menu combines regionally inspired spa journeys that make use of local herbs ingredients developed by scientists that studied the intense effects of space travel on skin ageing as well as skin recovery following surgery.
Over the coming year, GOCO Hospitality will be working closely with Daios Cove Luxury Resort & Villas to create GOCO Retreat Daios Cove, a dedicated wellness retreat that will provide health diagnostics, consultations, wellness programming, a nutrition-focused restaurant menu and regular lifestyle workshops.
“We are very excited to have opened GOCO Spa Daios Cove, our third GOCO-branded spa, with another on the Thai island of Koh Chang opening in July,” said Ingo Schweder, GOCO Hospitality’s Founder and CEO. “We have a fantastic facility, combined with an excellent team, a stunning location, and a strong mission to support and inspire the guests at Daios Cove Luxury Resort & Villas to live a healthier and more fulfilling lifestyle. And, with the future creation of GOCO Retreat Daios Cove, we are crafting a true wellness destination.”
